Inspired by the Yorùbá adages “Àìkú l’ọba” (life is the greatest wealth) and “Àkókò kì í dúró de ẹnìkan” (time waits for no one), this work reflects on thequiet needed balance and patience of the Dreamer, waiting through uncertainty while holding on to hope. It speaks to the acceptance that both rain and sunshine are part of the journey towards becoming self, reminding us that dreams often require patience, faith, and the courage to keep waiting for one's season to unfold.
